These are the core service, billing, and customer responsibility terms for selfhost.tools.

Service

selfhost.tools provides managed access to hosted open-source applications. The initial paid service is managed n8n.

The operating rules for managed hosting.

Service access

Your subscription gives you managed access to the hosted application.

When payment is confirmed, we prepare the managed instance and send the private URL and login details to the email used at checkout. Delivery timing may depend on payment confirmation, provisioning availability, security checks, and required account details.

Managed app, not server access

You receive app access. Server credentials, provider dashboards, DNS controls, and provisioning internals remain managed by selfhost.tools.

Instance details

Hosted URLs, login details, subscription state, provisioning state, and tenant ownership are account-sensitive and must not be shared irresponsibly.

Support scope

Support covers the managed instance, access, billing, provisioning, backups, updates, and reasonable technical questions about the hosted service.

Billing and cancellation

Paid access continues while your subscription is active.

You authorize the payment provider to charge the plan you choose. If payment fails, is reversed, or cannot be verified, access may be delayed, suspended, or cancelled.

Yearly and monthly billing

The default offer is managed n8n at USD 15.99/month billed yearly. A USD 19.99/month monthly option may be shown for comparison or selection.

Cancellation

You can request cancellation through support. Unless otherwise stated, access remains active through the paid billing period and renewal is cancelled.

Taxes and payment records

Prices may exclude taxes, currency conversion charges, or payment-provider fees. We keep billing records as needed for accounting and legal purposes.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and do not harm the platform or other customers.

You may not use selfhost.tools for illegal activity, abuse, spam, malware, credential theft, unauthorized access, denial-of-service activity, or content that violates applicable law.

Your content

You are responsible for workflows, credentials, files, messages, records, and other content you add to the hosted app.

Fair use

Unlimited plan features are subject to fair use so the service remains reliable for customers. We may intervene if usage threatens stability or security.

Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or violations of these Terms.

Liability and changes

We provide a managed service, but no system is guaranteed to be uninterrupted.

We work to keep the service available, secure, backed up, and maintained. The service may still be affected by maintenance, third-party providers, software updates, security incidents, customer configuration, or events outside our control.

Open-source software

Hosted tools may be developed by third-party open-source projects. selfhost.tools manages hosting but does not control every upstream feature, bug, or license change.

Service changes

We may update the service, plans, providers, security controls, supported tools, and these Terms as the product evolves.

Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, selfhost.tools is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

What am I buying?

You are buying managed access to a hosted open-source application. For the initial offer, that means a managed n8n instance with private URL, login details, backups, updates, and support.

Do I own the server?

No. You receive access to the hosted app while your subscription is active. selfhost.tools manages the infrastructure and operational layer.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Contact support to cancel renewal. Access normally remains active through the end of the current paid billing period unless the account is suspended for abuse, legal reasons, or security risk.

What happens if payment fails?

We may delay provisioning, suspend access, or cancel the subscription if payment fails, is reversed, or cannot be verified.

Can you change these Terms?

Yes. We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date on this page identifies the current version.
